KZ Sportster 270THR
Sticker was $54,598 in 2022. Out of production since 2024, so the used market is the only way to buy one. Estimate assumes a 2024 unit.
dry weight 6,840 lb + fresh water (75 gal, full) 626 lb + propane + battery 200 lb + gear for 2 600 lb. Brochure dry weight omits water, propane, batteries and your gear; this estimate doesn't.
Judged the way the app judges: estimated loaded weight against each vehicle's rating less a 10% margin, per model year, because the 270THR's published weights changed mid-run.

KZ (Mixed tier): KZ's toy hauler line (Thor Industries), sold as Sportsmen Sportster through 2016, Sportster/Sportster 100 from 2017, and Sportster X since 2025. Construction is mid-pack for the segment — aluminum-framed laminated fiberglass walls, a 3/8" walk-on roof and a heated, enclosed underbelly — with a Tuff Ply garage floor and diamond-plate wall protection that hold up well. KZ's assembly quality is uneven unit to unit, which is why it lands in the middle rather than at the top.
