KZ Sportster 220THR
dry weight 4,570 lb + fresh water (38 gal, full) 317 lb + propane + battery 200 lb + gear for 2 600 lb. Brochure dry weight omits water, propane, batteries and your gear; this estimate doesn't.
Judged the way the app judges: estimated loaded weight against each vehicle's rating less a 10% margin, per model year, because the 220THR's published weights held steady.

KZ (Mixed tier): KZ's toy hauler line (Thor Industries), sold as Sportsmen Sportster through 2016, Sportster/Sportster 100 from 2017, and Sportster X since 2025. Construction is mid-pack for the segment — aluminum-framed laminated fiberglass walls, a 3/8" walk-on roof and a heated, enclosed underbelly — with a Tuff Ply garage floor and diamond-plate wall protection that hold up well. KZ's assembly quality is uneven unit to unit, which is why it lands in the middle rather than at the top.
- 2017Introduced as the renamed 229TH
- 2018Dropped
Findable: a few listed nationwide most weeks. Why: KZ is a volume manufacturer; only one model year. Estimated from build volume and production span, not a count of live listings.
The 229TH renamed; twin roll-over sofas flanking the garage make it sleep six with the optional power bed.
